Whereas, strategic planning covers both kind of projects- short term and long term. Also, long range planning assumes that the current knowledge and resources of the organization is enough to sustain its existence for the next few years. However, in strategic management, it assumes that the needs and the demands of the marke is dynamic so the knowledge and resources of the organization should also be ever changing and continuously improved to meet these demands.
